How Essential Oils support our emotional journey… a gathering of information from the vast resources of oils research currently available.

  • Essential oils are extracted from plants of various types, often via a steam distilling process or
    compression process.
  • They are often regarded as the life force or life blood of the plant, it’s the part of the plant that keeps it healthy and well, and allows it to ward off invaders and bugs during its growth.
  • Can assist our healing both physically and emotionally.
  • Physically they are anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal, they support the immune system and so much more.
  • They support us emotionally, because they invite us into our inner being and support us on an
energetic level.  HOWEVER they don’t do the emotional work for us!
  • Each oil has it’s own specific energetic signature and are often regarded as vibrational medicine.  Many of the oils have frequencies higher than the human body.  Through the process of frequency entrainment, they invite our body’s frequency to increase.  A substance with a higher frequency can raise a lower frequency due to the principle of entrainment – the tendency for two oscillating bodies to lock into phase so that they vibrate in harmony. This principle is key to understanding the effect essential oils can have on our personal electromagnetic frequency.

Frequencies of body and other compounds:

  • Healthy Human Brain
71-90 MHz
  • Healthy Human Body (overall)

  • When you have Candida infection
55 MHz
  • When you have cancer
42 MHz
  • When you begin to die
25 MHz
  • Processed or Canned Foods
0 MHz
  • Fresh Produce (depending how fresh)
10-15 MHz
  • Dry Herbs
12-22 MHz
  • Fresh Herbs

  • Melissa
102 MHz
  • Juniper
98 MHz
  • Aloes/Sandalwood

How do substances and emotions affect our personal frequency?

  • Different types of frequencies can have a chaotic or a harmonizing effect on our own systems.
  • Electrical devices in your home – lamps, television, radio, phone, microwave – emit electromagnetic vibrational frequencies that are incoherent and chaotic.
  • By contrast, most naturally occurring substances –including essential oils – have coherent frequencies that resonate harmoniously with the electrical field of the human body.
  • Processed and canned food having a frequency of zero can greatly diminish a person’s own frequency.
  • Even thoughts and feelings have a vibratory quality that forms a measurable frequency. A negative mental state can lower a person’s frequency by 10-12 MHz.  A positive mental attitude, prayer or
meditation can raise it by 10-15 MHz.

The final word…. Daniel MacDonald in his book Emotions & Essential Oils, suggests

  • Oils don’t do the emotional healing work for you
  • Oils support your emotional work, they foster the right environment for healing
  • Daniel MacDonald’s Weeding the Garden example – In gardening, it is a common experience to pull the weed while leaving the roots.  This is particularly true for hard and rock soils.  To ensure we uproot the whole plant, we can ad water to the soil, which allows the entire week to be removed.  Similarly, essential oils prepare our emotional soil so that weeds may be removed with greater ease….however they do not do the weeding for us.
